This interview is with Prof. Cristina Reigadas from the University of Buenos Aires, also a member of the Centre of Latin American Studies in Cambridge. We talk about how she became interested in China and changed the focus of her research. She has been studying political philosophy of Latin America and after a visit to India, decided to study democracy in India and China. She explains why it is important to look at the example of China and to examine how other non-western nations have been thinking about democracy. She also talks about the importance of understanding other perspectives, which is unfortunately not happening.
