If you’ve been following along on our little home reno journey then you know that the main level is done, the upstairs is done, and the 70's basement of my dreams is also officially done. So now I'm moving on to the parts of the house that no one really gets to see except for Ben and I. I'm starting with Ben's closet because he deserves it, but also because he has way more clothes than I do. Our closets are pretty small and the storage isn’t great in our little 1940's Cape Cod, so it was definitely time for an upgrade. We were shopping around for different prefab custom closet designs and they're pretty expensive for what they are so I felt like I could just do myself for way less money. Plus, I want want to show that it's pretty easy to do this yourself if you want to give your closet a little freshen up without a huge budget. A little backstory on me ... I’ve been living and working in NYC for the past twenty years, but in 2020 I decided to buy my first home in Milwaukee with my boo. That way he has a place to call home since he already lives here and I'll have a little escape to go to when I have downtime from work. I’m definitely not a carpenter by any means, but I do think I can accomplish what I have planned for this little house.
