I am remodeling our closet using bookcases and nightstands from target. To lower the price, I would recommend opting out of the drawers, adding more shelves (come with the bookcase) and utilizing cubby towers laid horizontally or the top of the bookcases. I ended up getting my items at a Large discount so I paid a similar amount to what the alternative would have been.
