For whom thou didst part moon in two
Thou hast made the world from his light
Through him are souls restored anew

يا رب صل على النور في أليل ليل
الذي شققت له القمر
لقد خلقت الكون من نوره
به الأرواح تصلح جديدا

O Lord bless him whose rank was lifted
The one for whom every veil was rent
Above thy friend he ascended
To reach beyond where Gabriel went

يا رب صل على الذي أعليت له الرتب
الذي رفعت له الحجب
الذي صعد فوق خليلك
ليصل إلى ما لم يصل إليه جبريل

Lord bless him who upon thee gazed
Which august Moses did not win
The one whose name is ever praised
And with thy mercy grace his kin

يا رب صل على الذي نظر إليك
نظرة لم ينلها موسى العظيم
الذي اسمه محمد
وبرحمتك أنعم على آله
