Gothic cathedrals, narrow streets, modern museums: Lübeck has a rich cultural offering. Considered one of the most beautiful and oldest town halls in Germany, Lübeck's Market Square and Town Hall are actually a whole made up of different parts, the oldest of which dates back to the 13th century. A historical travelogue once described Lübeck's town hall as a "stone fairy tale". Impressive brick buildings and salt storage facilities. What's exciting here is that you can compare two architectural styles typical of Lübeck - brick Gothic, exemplified by the Holsten Gate, and brick Renaissance, exemplified by the salt storehouse. Discover Lübeck's hidden passages and courtyards: Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987, the Old Town of Lübeck is characterized by two features: the clearly visible city silhouette with its seven towers and the A labyrinth of corridors and courtyards. These small stalls arranged behind merchant houses, residential corridors and green inner courtyards were developed in the Middle Ages, and out of some 180 inhabited passages and courtyards, about 90 are still today, many of which are open to the public throughout the day .
