CURRYWURST RECIPE
Ingredients:

4 teaspoons turmeric
3 teaspoons coriander
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons nutmeg
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons ginger powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
12 cardamom pods
1 teaspoon pimento
1 teaspoon black pepper
500ml tomato sauce
30g honey
20ml balsamic vinegar
15ml Worcestershire sauce
15g vegetable bouillon powder
a few drops of hot sauce (optional)
salt to taste
1 white sausage
French fries

Instructions:

Begin by making the curry powder blend. Grind up all the non-powdered spices in a spice grinder or mortar and pestle until fine.
Add all the powdered spices and give the mixture a few pulses until everything is well mixed.
Add the tomato sauce, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, vegetable bouillon, honey, a couple of spoons of the curry powder blend, and a few drops of hot sauce (if desired) to a pot. Scale the seasoning to taste.
Gently heat up the tomato sauce, using a lid to prevent splashes. Add more curry powder and salt to taste, bit by bit.
Meanwhile, prepare the sausage by making a few cuts to prevent it from bursting, and then heat it up in a pan or using the grill function of your oven. Once the top half of the sausage is browned, turn it over. Once it's done, cut the sausage into smaller slices for plating.
Serve the Currywurst with French fries and be very generous with the sauce. Add salt over the fries, and a few more dashes of the curry powder blend over the sauce.
Enjoy your homemade German Currywurst!
