This ride was a short one. We've done Axle Grease before, so we knew what to exxpect. However, what I didn't expect was to have some of the footage of the ride ruined by a massive smear on the camera lense. We hit the end of Axle Grease and diverted on to West Express to explore some of the more challenging little loops, ei: Dare a Sarah, Scorpion, Snake Eyes, etc. I must have smeared the lense just after we reached the end of Axle Grease. Fortunately I saw the issue and cleaned the camera lense, just before we started back down Axle Grease. So, I was able to get good footage of Axle Grease in its entirety.
Axle Grease is a fun, windy, swooping trail, a lot like 136th Street Express, over on the east edge of the preserve. It is a bit more of a cimb out however. But the ride is really fun going back down the hill. It's a great ride for novice and advanced alike. It's become one of our new favorites on the west side of the preserver. And it leads to a whole mess of other trails, so its a good warmup and route to get to some of the more challenging stuff, or connector to trails going further north.
