Hey Hypers, Sara is with you today.

Have you all hypers watched Song Hye Kyo's new Netflix drama, The Glory?

The drama with 8 episodes and 45 minutes of running time per episode has completed its season 1. Guess what? To those who haven't watched it yet, you can marathon it in one single night because I did and it is worth your time.

Genre: Revenge Thriller

The Glory is based on a true story.

While we do not condone bullies in any form and places it takes, I found this drama quite heavy and dark for certain people who had been experiencing and being bullied before. We would like to give you all viewers a fair warning before you proceed because this drama could've led you to a traumatic experience.

Spoilers ahead.

Plot and Synopsis;

Moon Dong-eun is a high school student who dreamed of one day becoming an architect. She became a victim of high school violence perpetrated by her fellow classmates, Park Yeon-jin, Jeon Jae-joon, Choi Hye-jeong, Lee Sa-ra, and Son Myeong-oh.

Dong-eun dropped out of high school because of the bullying. She then carefully planned revenge on her bullies who had ruined her life.

Living her life as an adult now, Dong-eun witnesses the ugly scars on her whole body every time she takes her clothes off. It was a horrible sight and she has to endure it every day of her life.

While Dong-eun suffered her whole life with the scars and those heinous memories that haunted her, Park Yeon-jin, her bully is getting married eventually to Ha Do-yeong, the CEO of Jaepyeong Construction.

Dong-eun has waited this moment her whole life and she appeared at Park Yeon-jin' wedding venue but no one noticed her presence.

Years have gone by, Park Yeon-jin now has a child. That child is now an elementary school student. Unbeknownst to Yeon-jin, Dong-eun found an ugly secret of who is the real father of Yeon-jin's child and she isn't Ha Do-yeong's child despite their marriage.

Park Yeon-jin, the leader of the bullies gang apparently had cheated on her husband with her friend, Jeon Jae-joon. The child is color blind and she takes that after her real father.

Dong-eun who once was a victim of school violence is now the homeroom teacher of her tormentor's child. Imagine how terrified Park Yeon-jin has become when she found out about it.

When she visits her daughter's school to warn Dong-eun, not to touch her daughter, he received a call from her fellow bullies, telling her that their former homeroom teacher in high school has passed away.

Apparently, the said teacher used to abuse Dong-eun and used to protect those bullies, but I won't reveal the plot twist the cause of his death here for you, the viewers to watch the drama yourself.

I sincerely would rate this drama 9/10, Why?
Because despite its perfect plot, brilliant acting and not to mention drama continuously pushes you on the edge, I personally don't agree they cast Lee Do-hyun as Ju Yeo-jeong. Yeo-jeong is Dong-eun Go game's teacher when she planned to learn Go game to approach Park Yeon-jin's husband.

Dong-eun and Yeo-jeong apparently have small intimate scenes. I found the relationship pure and beautiful but their big age difference in real life bothers me. It pricks me in all the wrong places.

I'm always a fan of Lee Do-hyun. He is funny and a perfect actor and he portrayed his character in The Glory perfectly. I always found his acting splendid but I wish the director could've cast someone older for the role.

It is a major turn off especially when they have a few intimate lines. I know it is quite straightforward of me to make such a statement and I'm sorry for being honest but it's the fact that I can't ignore it when I marathoned The Glory for 6 hours straight. It keeps bothering me from the back of my head.

Anyways, don't forget to watch the drama if you haven't and I can't wait for The Glory's second season this March.

Stay tuned everyone. Enjoy your weekend. Don't forget to like and subscribe.
