So why no more Spartace Loveline in Running Man?

Is loveline necessary? It depends on how the public views it. As an example, Monday couple. Viewers and fans seemed to like it back then. Love line is just spices that make a game show like Running Man interesting. It's like a cherry on top of the cake. A situation where something good or positive is added to an already great thing, making it even better.

Like Running Man, the show has established a strong fan base since 2010. The members have their unique roles and charms. That makes Running Man a little special compared to the other reality shows. 

When Gary left Running Man in late 2016, Running Man producers wanted to revamp the show by removing Kim Jong Kook and Song JiHyo. They received harsh backlash from viewers and loyal fans who had been supporting them all these years. 

When it was difficult to continue the show with six members left, they recruited two new members, Yang Sechan and Jeon Somin. If you are a true Running Man fan, you must've witnessed how difficult it is for these two to be accepted as new members of Running Man's clan. 

If senior members worked hard, the two of them must work twice as hard. Kim Jong Kook and HaHa used to say that they felt bad for Sechan and Somin for the unnecessary criticism and hate they received when they first joined the show.

Between the two of them, Jeon Somin received the most hate. We have already explained how bad it was here in another video. Why does she have the most haters? Because it was easy to pick on someone, female members especially. 

As the show goes on, in early 2019, Running Man hints at a new Loveline, Spartace. Yoo Jaesuk and HaHa were the main characters who pushed Kim Jong Kook and Song Jihyo to the center of attention and made Running Man fans giddy with anticipation once again. Spartace's fan base is large and strong. They have been among loyal fans since the early Running Man era. The rating of Running Man hit the roof a few times during that period because the public gave positive feedback about it, especially when Kim Jong Kook and Song Jihyo were both single.

Meanwhile, at the same time, a strong current of hate hit Jeon Somin every time she was being playful with Kim Jong Kook. Especially during the games and if she was partnered with Jong Kook. At some point, she had to take a hiatus for a month because of that but her agency made an official statement, citing that Jeon Somin wasn't feeling well. Running Man's bulletin board was also closed because of the waves of hate flooding the online community. Because of this, Running Man fans are divided into two groups. One supports 'Spartace' and another one supports 'KookMin' or Jeon Somin generally. Technically, it's Spartace fans bullying Jeon Somin and KookMin fans bullying Song Jihyo.

The pattern of bullying one another began and it continued until late 2022. Maybe the Running Man members decided to stop promoting Spartace to hinder this undying 'cancer' spreading deeper between these 'technically' two fan bases of Running Man. It's a toxic environment to live in. It can cause chronic depression for both Song Jihyo and Jeon Somin. We can't imagine the amount of hate they had to deal with every day.

That was why Song Jihyo avoided or tried not to be included in Kim Jong Kook's team during the game. She would rather pick Haha or Jaesuk instead. They barely teased each other on-screen in these recent episodes. The good thing about Kim Jong Kook, he is very protective of these two precious germs. It's difficult to be in the middle but he is not biased. He will support both, Song Jihyo and Jeon Somin.

Strangely, while both of their fan bases are still clawing at each other, these two sisters are always on good terms, regardless of where they're. Their professionalism is unbeatable regardless of what their haters are saying.

If you are a true fan of Running Man, you would love them both unconditionally. You would not ruin their precious bond with your imaginary and toxic hatred behavior, especially on their social media. Let's spread love and stop being childish for your fantasy. They're humans and they have feelings. Let's stop bullying Song Jihyo and Jeon Somin.
