Join us on a walk along the River Arun in and around Houghton in West Sussex.

Due to its cinematic nature, this video is best watched on a large screen such as a TV, to fully appreciate the visual detail and immersive aural experience we try to convey.

Our little dog has not been well for some time, and is unable to walk far, so this walk continues our series of short walks focusing on the River Arun - actually filmed across two days.

We start the walk between Bury and Houghton Bridge, making our way to the bridge, then to Houghton and back to the river.

Though Houghton Bridge looks medieval in origin, it was in fact built in 1875 in the Ashlar style, belying its true age.

After successfully filming an elusive reed warbler in our previous walk, see if you can pick out the familiar chatty sounds of a number of these lovely, little birds. Also, listen out for the cuckoo! And not forgetting the unmistakable sounds of the nightingale near Bury.

All background and natural sounds were recorded during our time filming.

We hope you enjoyed watching as much as we enjoyed walking. If you did, please remember to click the thumbs up (like) button, and comment.
