40 years ago on 2 April 1982, the British overseas territory of the Falkland Islands were invaded. In response, a Task Force incorporating all three services of the British Armed Forces were assembled. It would consist of over 4000 troops, 127 warships and hundreds of aircraft, and tasked to travel 8000 miles across The Atlantic Ocean and recover the islands.
