Iryna fled Ukraine in the wake of Russia's illegal full scale invasion. Now living in the UK she volunteers to support Ukrainian soldiers training on Op Interflex.

Along with other Ukrainian nationals and local supporters, Iryna attends morale boosting events for the soldiers. They make and serve traditional Ukrainian food such as borscht to the soldiers on the training field, arrange music performances and deliver handmade Christmas cards from school children.

The soldiers are 'our hope' Iryna explains. The hope of returning home. The hope of surviving as a nation.
