Amidst the snowy dominion of the towering summits of the Andes, off-piste skiers like Dominique Ohaco find themselves but transient guests on nature’s grand stage.​

There is no place is more unexplored than the vast expanse of the Andes — one of the world’s most enduring mountain ranges. A place so untouched, the most daring among skiers may be the first to see certain crevices as they navigate the slopes.​

One such thrill-seeking solitary explorer is Dominique Ohaco, who first tasted the crisp kiss of snow at just three years old, and has been hooked ever since. Through rigorous training, the 3x Olympian has chased her calling for off-piste skiing.​

She has recently parked her competition skis and swapped them for the wide-eyed wonder of touring, setting forth on a journey through the surrounding snow-capped Andes of her home city Santiago.​
