Hi everybody,

Back today to the history of a competition which was the main competitor of the European Champions Cup until its disappearance in 1971: the Inter Cities Fairs Cup.
Created in 1955 on the initiative of members of FIFA and certain presidents of national federations, it was originally the main European Cup project desired by the brand new UEFA confederation, but saw the light of day despite UEFA's rejection. A competition developing the commercial relations of certain European cities, it was finally put to death by UEFA in 1971, which took the opportunity to create the UEFA Cup instead of this trophy.
