OCI미술관은 서울 종로구 소재의 R1211 스튜디오를 운영합니다.
2023년 입주작가 이페로, 정해민 작가의 창작활동을 가장 가까이에서 확인할 수 있는 자리이니 많은 관심과 방문 부탁드립니다.

이페로

이페로의 케이크는 거친 붓질에 밀리거나 여러 물성으로 겹겹이 뭉개지며 위태로움을 전면에 드러낸다. 달콤한 순간을 망가뜨리기 시작할 때 스며드는 긴장감, 온전해야 한다는 강박을 뭉개는 해방감은 살아있음을 증명한다.

서울대학교 미술대학 동양화과 학사, 석사를 졸업했다. 《Dear My Cake (을지예술센터, 2023)》, 《swipe out, (라흰갤러리, 2022)》, 《Feeding the Void (OCI미술관, 2010》 등의 개인전을 개최했으며 《whistling sound (갤러리 반디트라소, 2023)》, 《art camping (스페이스 사직, 2022)》, 《rare items (c.enter, 2022)》외 여러 단체전에 참여했다. 2010 ISCP 레지던시 (Brooklyn, New York) 입주작가, 2010 OCI YOUNG CREATIVE 선정작가로 활동했다.

Epäro’s cake looks precarious as it is either crumbled by rough brushstrokes or squashed into many layers of materials. The tension arising from ruining a sweet moment and the sense of freedom from the need to be intact ironically prove the vitality of liveliness.

Epäro earned a BFA and MFA from Seoul National University in Korean Painting. Her solo exhibitions include 《Dear My Cake (Eulji Art Center, 2023)》, 《swipe out (La Heen Gallery, 2022)》 and 《Feeding the Void (OCI Museum of Art, 2010)》. She also participated in many group exhibitions such as 《whistling sound (Gallery Banditrazos, 2023)》, 《art camping (Space Sazick, 2022)》 and 《rare items (c.enter, 2022)》, among others. She was a resident of ISCP Residency in Brooklyn, New York in 2010. In 2010, she received the OCI Young Creatives award from the OCI Museum of Art.
