Once upon a time in the West there was Comondu.
A Garden of Eden in the Far-West. Or rather, an oasis in America.

Located in Mexico, in Baja-California, Comondu is one of the 120 oases scattered along this vast 1,200 km long desert. It only rains here for a few days each year. And the temperature can reach 50 degrees. Yet, in Comondu, there are natural water sources and it is these sources that allowed the first Californians, who came from Europe, to conquer this desert region of America. And to bring about this miracle: growing grape vines in the desert.
Researchers are fascinated by this Eldorado where water is transformed into wine.

At a time when temperatures on our planet are continually increasing, oases could be a great source of inspiration.

How have the men and women in these small paradises managed to adapt to such extreme temperatures?
