Turned Based Fighting Games have been an idea developers have grappled with for years. No big studios have nailed it yet but there's tons of smaller teams that have created fantastic spins on the idea. Yomi, Checkmate Showdown, and YOMI Hustle are vastly different takes on what a turn based fighting game would look like and I think they're part of the future identity of what fighting games can become!
