Tropical Storm Bret will bring life-threatening flooding, including mudslides, to parts of the Caribbean. Heavy rain and gusty winds will start Thursday morning, and continue through Friday night. Over 200 mm or 8 inches of rain will bring significant flooding to parts of Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, Barbados, and St. Lucia. Heavy rain could impact parts of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Most of Tropical Storm Bret stays south of Puerto Rico, The British Virgin Islands, and The United State Virgin Islands. Rain bands could bring isolated flooding.

Tropical Storm Bret will weaken as it moves into the Caribbean, and fall apart south of Jamaica.

Another system may develop behind Bret. If that forms, it will become Tropical Storm Cindy.
