We are on high alert in the Caribbean for a developing tropical system. It is getting better organized and life-threatening flooding and mudslides is a major concern.

NEXT 2 DAYS: Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago — Periods of heavy rain and flooding! Some areas could get over 150 mm of rain (6 inches). Please be safe with flash flooding!

EARLY WEEK: This area will move near Puerto Rico, The US & British Virgin Islands, Haiti, and The Dominican Republic. I am not sure of the exact track of the rain, but where it goes, dangerous flooding will be possible. I'll monitor for you VERY closely.

This system may or may not spin up into a Tropical Storm. The next name on the Hurricane List is Emily. Regardless of if it gets a name or not, flooding remains the biggest threat. We'll also have some gusty winds. Please be safe, my friends!

GULF OF MEXICO: The rain near The Bahamas and Florida will move into the Gulf of Mexico. This area could develop some, before bringing rain into parts of Texas.

HURRICANE HILARY: Hurricane Hilary will bring tropical storm and hurricane conditions to extreme Western Mexico. Tropical Storm conditions will move into Southern California on Sunday Afternoon. Historic rain amounts are coming. Parts of Southern California, Nevada, and Arizona could see a year's worth of rain in just 2 days! Extreme flooding is highly likely!
