Outsole/Midsole: Mizuno Enerzy Foam holds up well on concrete, making a shoe that lasts a long time while still feeling great. Wave plate technology helps absorb the impact from running while providing a stable ride.

Trainer vs. Racer - who is the shoe for? The Wave Inspire is a daily trainer great for any pace and works best on long runs and recovery run days.

Any significant updates - What is different? The upper has been changed slightly and now features the “SSW” (smooth stretch woven) upper on select models, giving a knit-like feel. Regular models have also had an update, with a sleeker, more breathable look and feel. The midsole has also changed significantly, giving a softer, more plush feel and a much more stable ride with the slight change in the shape and placement of the wave plate. The newest version of the Inspire 19 is a great shoe for someone looking for a stability shoe to help with pronation and motion control without the bulky or clunky feeling of other shoes with lots of support.

Comparison with the Inspire 18: the 19 is slightly lighter than the 18, but the biggest change by far is the shape of the wave plate, which propels the runner forward while reducing pronation. The addition of the new upper has also helped the shoe have a nice fit and feel, and increasing the enerzy foam has made the shoe slightly softer than previous versions.
