For the first fight of the day I got drawn against Jolly Rat IV, a lifter. I like this robot a lot, it reminds me of Bully. Anyway, a new feature for Angore 2 is multiple configurations, so I went with my 'all forks all the time' config here, and I think it did pretty well! I was able to mostly keep him away from me - he never managed to get a full flip, just some little lifts - and the inverted forks managed to grab him a few times. Judges ended up going with Jolly Rat, which I think is fair, but I probably could have stolen it with like one less lift and one more pin. Fun match!

Also, the benefit of fighting a lifter first is that you have no damage going into the losers' bracket : )
