For the next fight, we were against Basics, a fantastic drum spinner that won the previous event we were at. I swapped on a new, less broken fork but went with the same shoulderpads + long fork config as last round.

I started this one off strong with a more or less perfect rush into him as he spun up, but unfortunately I couldn't keep up the aggression. He scored several good hits all over Angore, including ripping off one of the shoulder pads. I kept at it though until eventually he also got me stuck on the wall. It seems like the length of the fork combined with the length of the wheelbase makes Angore just the right size to balance like that. Now if this was Bully, and the fork was on a lifting arm, I could have gotten down - probably means I need to get back to work on that design.

Also, even with all the hits we took here, there was basically no damage to the electronics or wheels, so the wheelguards really are doing their job. Perhaps everyone who told me to use them was onto something.
