HARLIN performs their song, "Runnin' ", live at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, on January 16, 1988.

Whil Harlin - lead vocals and guitar
Gib Arciniega - lead guitar and vocals
Drake Thompson - drums and vocals
Brett Scott - bass

The song was written by Whil Harlin while with his previous band, Beringer Reef. A demo recording of the song was made in 1981, which was never released, but it was included on a demo tape titled HARLIN which Whil was shopping around at the time he met Brett, Drake and Gib in the summer of 1985.

This live version includes a super-long "extended version" of Whil's rambling prose about being "a young man on the streets of LA" in the middle, as the band jams in the background. Whil might admit it looks and sounds a bit ridiculous today, but it is still an important part of the Harlin experience, I just couldn't help but include it, for your viewing and listening pleasure. Enjoy!
