HARLIN performs their song, "These Days on the Bayou" live at the Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip in West Holllywood on February 27, 1987. The song was written by Whil Harlin, and features him on lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Drake Thompson on drums and backing vocals. Gib Arciniega on lead guitar and backing vocals. Brett Scott on bass. Harlin opened for The Knack that evening.

The song was originally written and recorded by Whil in the late 1970s, long before the band Harlin was formed. This is a fairly accurate approximation of the original version. Later that summer, Harlin would rework this song and record a new version with a slightly slower tempo, modified chorus and far less aggressive lead guitar on the advice of a big-shot producer. I personally think this version is superior. Harlin was very good live, but this particular band never managed to get anywhere close to their live sound in the studio, especially Gib's guitar, which is a real shame.
