To explore the Florida nature in winter is an amazing experience that everyone should try at least once in the life. Alligators, white ibis, manatees, pelicans, stunning tropical forests and blue ocean is what you can experience outside to the famous and touristic Miami and Key West.
We had the chance to visit Florida in winter 2020 during our road trip from Michigan.
Winter are the months where you will enjoy less the sun and beaches but Florida has always much to offer with his stunning Nature.
In Winter Manatees will find refuge in the warm water, like in Crystal Bay where we were able to kayak with dozen of them.
It is also the best period to visit the Everglades National Park, home of alligators and turtles living in an environment composed of mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods. It is also a perfect place for birds watching with many different species like pelicans, white ibis, cormorants and much more.
