The Thousand Islands are a group of 1,864 islands in the St. Lawrence River, straddling the border of the U.S. ( in New York state) and Canada (Ontario state).

Among the major landmarks that the region has to offer, here you can find the world's smallest inhabited island, located near Alexandria Bay. The tiny island measures just 3,300 square feet, roughly the size of a tennis court. The island is called "Just Room Enough" 😆 and also known as Hub Island.

On of the main attraction of Thousand Islands is the stunning Boldt Castle, an elaborate island mansions in German-style situated on Heart Island. Bold Castle was built in early 20th century by George Boldt, general manager of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City and manager of the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia.

To visit the area we suggest to take The American Narrows Tour provided by the Uncle Sam Boat Tours, or a private tour.
