To escape the cold winter of Michigan at the end of 2020 we decided to have a road trip starting from Detroit , arriving to Florida, and back to Michigan stopping in Tennessee.
Our first stop was the area of Tampa and St. Petersburg on the west coast of Florida, Here we did one of the most amazing experience, kayaking with Manatee (lamantin). The area is beautiful and offer also some nice natural parks for relaxing trekking.
After we move towards the Florida Keys, with a stop to the immense Everglades park and its world famous alligators. We stayed in the middle of the keys in a small island called ducks keys and during our stay we could not have missed a visit to the last of the islands, Key West.
After relaxing in the blue water of the keys we crossed back the several stunning bridges and we started our journey back to Michigan. First we stopped in the iconic Miami for a quick tour, and after we spend a few days in the "snobbish" West Palm Beach.
In the last part of our trip, after a short visit to St. Augustine, we reached Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains. The most visited park in the USA does not disappoint and brought us some amazing trails and views (also during winter).

In total 4387 miles and 92 hours of driving time!!
