GERMANY: "We deserve a different policy" - Teggatz calls for more commitment to the migration issue

Heiko Teggatz, deputy head of the German police union, spoke in the studio about the challenges of migration policy. Teggatz stressed that border controls and rejections at the border are technically, personnel-wise and legally feasible. He also called for a pooling of responsibilities in order to implement deportations more effectively. Stationary border controls have already had an effect, but politicians must act to make these measures permanent. Teggatz calls for more room for maneuver for the police and warns: The population deserves a different policy.
