Werewolf by Night has come and gone, and Marvel Phase 4's first "Special Presentation" obviously has some huge implications for the MCU - but the most important thing about Werewolf by Night has nothing to do with Man-Thing, Elsa Bloodstone, supernatural monsters in the MCU, or even Jack Russell, the titular werewolf himself.

Don't get me wrong, all of those characters and elements are important. And so is the introduction of a true horror film in the MCU. It sets up Marvel for R-rated success with upcoming tentpole titles like Mahershala Ali's Blade, a Ghost Rider revival (please!) and the inevitable introduction of the Midnight Sons. But, on a more practical, behind-the-scenes filmmaking and decision-making sense, Michael Giachinno has helped set a precedent for a new approach to doing things as Marvel produces more films and shows down the line. Well...new to Marvel, at least.

So, grab your popcorn and strap as we discuss exactly what happened behind the scenes with Werewolf by Night, how a music composer turned director changed Kevin Feige's (and the Marvel brass') mind, and delivered THE most interesting piece of cinema in Marvel Phase 4.
