"Kobe (神戸) Luminarie (ルミナリエ)" is one of the largest illumination events in Japan. It has been held since 1995 to commemorate the victims of the earthquake occured here in Kobe and to pass on their memories to next generations. Although the event had to be postponed due to COVID-19, it is held for the first time in four years. This year, it is held from January 19th to 28th in multiple parks and streets in downtown Kobe.
