There is a museum called the Fukagawa Edo Museum (深川江戸資料館) near Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo. The highlight of the facility is a full-scale replica of downtown Tokyo in the mid-19th century. What is interesting is the faithful reproduction of the cityscape and the life style of residents. For example, the family composition, occupation, age, etc. of the residents are set in detail for each house or shop. Furthermore, the changes in time and seasons are also expressed.
