The content of this video was shot on standard 8 cine film way back in the 1960's so that was the quality at that time.
One of the main contributors was Tom Head who was the owner of the boatyard. He recorded anything that floated on water. Other material came from Joe Barnes who was a regular visitor to Stourport and Bob Hughes.
When their films were converted to digital tape I was then able to re-edit the content to DVD and it was used to show to members of The Stourport Civic Society and the general public.
It shows parts of both the river and land carnivals - Noel Gordon recording 'Lunch Box' with Matt Monro - floods, ice and snow and many old buildings.
