Ingredients:
- Pasta 200 grams
- oil 2 tablespoons
- Garlic 4-5 cloves, finely chopped
- Onion: 1 medium-sized, finely chopped
- Tomatoes : 4-5 medium-sized, pureed
- Tomato paste 1 tablespoon

- Bell peppers 1, chopped (optional)
- salt to taste
- Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili flakes : 1/2 teaspoon
- **Italian seasoning**: 1 teaspoon (or use a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)
- Fresh basila few leaves, chopped (optional)
- **Water**: for boiling pasta
Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and the pasta.
- Cook according to the package instructions until the pasta is al dente (firm to the bite).
- Drain the pasta and set it aside. Reserve a cup of pasta water.

2. *Prepare the Sauce:*
- In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- If using bell peppers, add them now and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste (if using), salt, black pepper, red chili flakes, Italian seasoning, and sugar. Mix well.
- Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
- Let the pasta simmer in the sauce for 2-3 minutes so it absorbs the flavors

- Garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy
