Hi everyone,

This is my collage for week 39 of the challenge being hosted by Margarete Miller this year ( see below for details, if the #2024CW challenge is new to you and/or if you’re interested in taking part).

The prompts set for this assignment were as follows:

1. ‘Something noisy’ ~ Children can often be noisy when they’re crying and
upset so I went with a little girl, covering her eyes and weeping....
alternatively she could be playing hide and seek but that didn’t suit my
prompt at all....lol

2. ‘A written personal goal or ambition’ ~ I hate these prompts whenever
I see them. To me personal goals and ambitions are just that,
personal. But, in the spirit of the challenge, I found a label that
encapsulated how I aspire to live my life and used that.

3. ‘ A tree with leaves that are not green’ ~ I found an image of a tree
with the last throws of Summer fruits on it’s boughs and it’s leaves
just beginning to turn to Autumnal gold.

4. ‘Text in a foreign language’ ~ I used a lovely page from an old
vintage French book.

5. ‘Something you’re thankful for’ ~ Oh my goodness where to start!
There’s a myriad of things I’m so thankful for in my life so it was hard
to pick just one and again, to pick one that wasn’t too personal. I
chose my love of fountain pens, the gorgeous inks you can use in
them and the beautiful penmanship they inspire. I used a business
card to hopefully reflect that.


Bonus ‘A colour you don’t use often’ ~ I certainly don’t use the colour mustard often, that’s for sure. But having come across that colour on a page in a promotional flyer that came through the front door recently, I decided I’d give it a go on my assignment and WOW... I loved it !!!!
