Part 2 of volume 3 looks at the western line out of Adleaide, on towards Perth and NSW via Broken Hill. You will notice in this video how different thw environment is from the eastern side of the city. it is dry and dusty in Adelaide's west, and the soil takes on that rich, dark red/brown colour you might associate with central Australia.

Over the my few days in Adelaide I captured just about every operator that runs trains west of the city. I filmed the Bowmans rail empty mineral sands train to Broken Hill and the Balco headed out to Bowmans.

Genessee and Wyoming Australia's Darwin services are also featured, with brand new GWB class loco's on some of the services and a 422 in the mix!

Pacific National services feature prominently as the major rail operator, and some SCT movements are also filmed.
