Stephane Lintner, Jiko’s CEO and cofounder, reiterated the importance of stability for customers to feel safe, touting his model of building a bank on top of US treasury bills. “For day-to-day payments, people need the stability of the dollar,” he said.

On the topic of security, Rho’s Everett Cook gave a shout-out to his banking partner Webster Bank. “The regulators want to see direct fintech bank partnerships, they don’t want to see third parties,” he said.

Monica Long, president of Ripple, noted that the approval of Bitcoin ETFs was crucial for crypto’s legitimacy and staying power in the markets. “I think there’s a real long term buy-in and belief from institutions that this technology is not going away.”
