Spotlight on: The Rolex Pearlmaster. Getting to know Rolex’s Jewelry watch.

Recognizable at a glance, a Rolex on your wrist will add a touch of luxury to any ensemble.

For ladies who want to up the ante further, there's the ultimate luxury-oriented collection - the Rolex Pearlmaster.

Always made of precious metals, and never without diamonds and gemstones, the Rolex Pearlmaster is considered "the pearl of the Oyster collection.”

Here's a quick guide to Rolex's crowning jewelry timepiece.

The Rolex Pearlmaster is one of the newest lines of Rolex, along with the original Yacht-Master.

Both released in 1992, they represented ultra-luxe versions of Rolex's iconic core models: the Submariner and the Datejust.

The Yacht-Master took after the Submariner in design, but was intended as a nautically-themed watch, rather than a tool watch.

The Pearlmaster, meanwhile, took after the Lady Datejust range.

While the Lady Datejust range also offered gem-set models, the Pearlmaster took sure it to the next level.

Let's take a closer look at the Rolex Pearlmaster's features.

Aside from having an immaculate design, the Rolex Pearlmaster is made exclusively in 18k yellow, white, and Everose gold; while the gems used are diamonds, sapphires, or rubies.

While Rolex usually adorns the dial with gems, the Pearlmaster's gems are not just found on the dial -- but also on the case, bezel, or bracelet.

These range from dashes of diamonds on the bezel, to full pavé treatment.
Just like the Datejust, the Pearlmaster line offers great variety.

The original Pearlmasters came in two sizes; 34 millimeter and 29 millimeters.

Dials range from the usual silver, champagne and white; to more exotic mother of pearl and vignette dials.

The most premium Pearlmasters have full pave diamond dials. Gemsetters finely carve the precious metal in order to carve the space where the diamonds will be placed.
In 2015, a 39 millimeter Pearlmaster was also launched, a move that came with the general direction of the rest of Rolex's models.

The Pearlmaster 39 had a choice of a red grape, olive green or cognac sunburst dial, and graduating trapezoidal sapphires on the bezel.

The trapezoidal sapphires are chosen carefully, in order for the color gradient effect to be seamless.

A bracelet was also designed by Rolex exclusively for the Pearlmaster line.

Crafted in solid gold, the bracelets feature supple, rounded five-piece links with a smooth surface - the perfect canvas for diamonds and gems!

With its rounded solid links, the Pearlmaster bracelet not only contributes to the watch’s distinctive character, but also offers the wearer, maximum comfort.

The bracelet is also held together by a concealed Crown-clasp, for an elegant look.

Of course, the Pearlmaster isn’t all about good looks.

Ticking inside the watch is the updated Caliber 2235 (two two three five), which replaced the original Caliber 2135 (two one three five).

This movement was developed specifically for ladies Rolex watches, and is the most consistently accurate caliber the COSC has certified.

With the finest materials, most elegant design, and ingenious engineering, the Rolex Pearlmaster collection is the choice of ladies who want only the best.
