For 2023, the IFSC World Champs headed to Bern, Switzerland and put experienced competition climber and former climbing world champion Petra Klingler on home turf for the big occasion.​

On a mission to once again ascend to the very top of the sport, a battle against both physical and mental barriers lays ahead for Petra Klingler as she attempts to rediscover her best form at the Bern World Champs. ​

​The experienced climber has enjoyed all the glories of being a pro – but she's also lived through the more painful aspects, too. Now, on home turf, she attempts to get back to the top.​

​We sat down after the climbing competition to understand the reality of performing at such an event, and under such conditions.​
