I decided to go to Mestia, where the northwestern ice cap is located, where many Korean tourists visit because there is a little room until the day I booked the plane.

The navigation distance from the capital Tbilisi to Mestia is about 700km, but the actual travel time is 10 hours at the earliest. Most of the roads today are two-lane round-trip, and there are many sections under road construction, and there are many sections with very poor road partners.
So for those coming to Georgia Mestia, it's likely to come from the capital, Tbilisi, by train or domestic flight to Zugdidi, and then by bus.

I moved from Ahalchihe to Mestia via Zugdidi.
I had a hunch when the navigation was 100km away and told me that there was 4 hours left until the arrival time.
If the roads of Russia and Mongolia were red pepper powder, this road is about Vietnamese pepper + pepper powder.

It was only after I ran all the way down the washboard road and saw the Mestia Glacier and the snow mountain that I knew it was worth the rough road.

Arriving in the evening, just looking around the entrance and starting Mestia glacier tracking tomorrow.
