Kallar Meenmutty Waterfalls
Meenmutty Falls is a waterfall located 45 kilometres (28 mi) from Trivandrum city in Thiruvananthapuram District in Kerala, India. The falls are near the Ponmudi hill station, Thiruvananthapuram district and Agastya Mala Biosphere reserves. This waterfall is situated along the upper riparian course of the Vamanapuram River.
Surrounded by the mountain ranges of the Western Ghats, Meenmutty waterfall is a small waterfall formed over the Kallar River. Although the waterfall is pretty small in terms of height, the place gives a glimpse of natural beauty that attracts a large number of tourists every year as part of Ponmudi holiday packages. Numerous small natural pools are peppered near this magnificent waterfall.
Visitors are barred from getting too close to the falls, but you can take in the beauty of the cascading water from a safe distance. The best time would be from mid-November to March when the sky is clear and the trail is not too slushy.
