There were prison quality bars on all the lower windows of this place. Old time silver security tape on the upper floor windows so if the glass broke it would set off the alarm. The owner was a wealthy industrialist and a bit eccentric but also cautious.
This Industrialist bought several properties in the surrounding area of CT and built this vacation house / cabin in the middle of a lake in the 1920's.
I was able to explore inside the upper floors through the open window but the doors on the lower floor were padlocked.
There was still an old cast iron stove in the kitchen as well as a large white porcelain farmhouse sink. One nice ceiling light fixture still intact. It was pretty empty inside but still worth exploring.
Beautiful views from every window except for the outhouse LOL and the creepy constant bubbling in a couple sections of the lake. I didn't go near those. Horror movie vibes. No ghosts though - at least none I could see.
This explore was a little more difficult for me as I had to buy an inflatable boat with oars in order to get to it. Luckily the boat was on sale because it's the end of the season.
Maybe I'll need the boat again sometime for future explores.
