A quick explore of this Roman Catholic Priest residence. I didn't see anybody around so I could only look in the windows and film the outside.
I think it also doubles as a Retreat where you can pay & pray for a one night stay. It's a beautiful mansion.
It's on a higher elevation so there was a lot of wind noise. The yard is huge as well and it slopes downward. You could probably ski and tube down it in the winter.
The stone grotto shrine is a replica of the one in France where the Mother of God appeared to a young woman in 1862. There is an actual stone from the French grotto on the front wall of this one.
There is a nice walking path with the 15 stations of the cross with very well made statues for each station. I only showed the first and the last stations in my video otherwise it would make the video too long.
The entire property is dedicated to Mary the Mother of Jesus. It's a beautiful place to see even if you're not religious.
It states on their website that it's "a place of peace and prayer".
It's open every day during daylight hours and it's free but they do have donation boxes if you care to make a donation.
They have a website as well.
Just Google Lourdes of Litchfield CT or Lourdes Shrine Litchfield CT
The address is 83 Montfort Rd, Litchfield CT
I hope you like this video. A little different explore for me this time.
