I will be showing you how to can pork meat.

I am a beginner at home-canning. I am self-taught in the U.S. recommended method of canning, and I am sharing the knowledge I have gained in this video.

I try to follow the recipe as closely as possible, but there are always things that come up that make me wonder, "What am I supposed to do with this? I try my best to convey this information as correctly as possible. I hope my videos will be helpful to those who are interested.

*Jar choices : 5pint jars or 2-3quart jars

[The difference in pressure according to elevation] - Use a dial gauge -
 Elevation Appropriate pressure
 0 to 2,000ft (approx. 610m): 11 lbs.
 2,001ft (approx. 610m) to 4,000ft (approx. 1,219m): 12 lbs.
 4,001ft(approx. 1,219m) to 6,000ft(approx. 1,829m) : 13 lbs
 6,001ft (approx. 1,829m) - 8,000ft (approx. 2,438m) : 14 lbs.

*Processing time is the same for all elevations.
 Pint size jars : 60 minutes ; Quart size jars : 75 minutes.

Pressure cooker used : PRESTO's Pressure Canner and Cooker
*For the procedure after the jars are processed and before opening the pressure cooker, I followed the instructions in the guidebook for the pressure cooker I am using.

*For the use of pressure canners, follow the instruction manual of the pressure canner in use.
