On my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, I have had issues with the charging voltage and power fluctuations, dimming headlights, a dead battery and the “service charging system” message a couple of random times while I was driving. So, I decided it’s time to change the alternator. And I should change the serpentine belt at the same time.

You do not need a lot of tools to complete this job, which is really easy to do on a Chevy engine, or GMC Sierra!
