Footage of all seven goals from the First Division match between Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves at White Hart Lane on 6th February 1982.

Before the match against Spurs, Wolves had not won in their six previous matches - their last victory being against Stoke City at Molineux on 28th November 1981(   • Wolves v Stoke City, 28th November 1981  ). During that period, John Barnwell had resigned as Wolves manager and was replaced by the former Bolton Wanderers manager Ian Greaves.

For the match at White Hart Lane, his first as manager of Wolves, Greaves named an unchanged side to the one that had lost narrowly to Tottenham's North London rivals Arsenal just four days previously. Wolves fielded a very experienced team with goalkeeper Paul Bradshaw, defenders Geoff Palmer and George Berry, midfielders Kenny Hibbitt and Mel Eves and strikers Andy Gray and John Richards all part of Barnwell's team that had defeated Nottingham Forest in the 1980 League Cup Final. Centre half Joe Gallagher, a £350,000 signing from Birmingham City at the start of the season, added further experience to the Wolves team.

Keith Burkinshaw's talented Spurs team, the reigning FA Cup holders, contained several players that had featured against Wolves in the two FA Cup Semi-finals the previous season. England international and future Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle featured alongside Spurs' captain, the long serving Steve Perryman, pacy striker Garth Crooks and Argentinian internationals Osvaldo Ardiles and Ricky Villa. Goalkeeper Ray Clemence had been signed from Liverpool at the start of the season for £300,000 and he helped Spurs reclaim the FA Cup at the end of the season, together with a highly creditable final position of fourth in the league.
