Decided on this January day to teach my QH mare, Malarky, to rear up on command. She was a natural as whenever she objected to anything, she would rear up, paw the air, and say No! Once she learned to rear on command, she loved it so much that she almost couldn't wait for the command and, once the request was given, she would rear two and three times in a row. But she never abused this learning, and never used rearing ever again to "object." She was my Parelli Level 4 horse. Age 3 at this point.
