Something sweet, and spicy for you today! In this episode, I’ll be cooking Dendeng Daging that is rich with flavour, sweet caramelised, slightly spicy, and definitely, mouth-watering 🤤.

This is a must-try recipe!

INGREDIENTS:
1kg – Tenderloin
5nos – Shallots
4cloves – Garlic
40gms - Ginger
2nos – Coriander Root

Salt
Water

1. Combine tenderloin, shallots, garlic, ginger, coriander root, lemon grass, salt and 4pcs of lime leaf with enough water to cover the beef and cook in a pressure cooker. (or stove top for until tender 2.5-3hrs, keep adding liquid if necessary).
2. Once beef is soften remove from pot and allow to cool while being covered.
3. When the beef is cooled, cut them into ½ cm thick, then pound it lightly to get it nice and thin. (do not smash)

6. Then add in the tamarind pulp mixed with some water. Mix well.
7. Now add in the beef, together with a cup of the beef stock.
8. Continue to cook down until almost dry.
9. Add in the rest of the lime leaf and remaining sweet soy with a pinch of salt. Continue to cook for another couple of minutes then turn off the heat and serve.
