Cinematography, lighting, camera knowledge, editing -- What if I told you these aren't THE most important skills to have as a film director? Don't get me wrong, to be a great filmmaker, you need to have at least a basic understanding of all the departments (camera, lighting, sound, post-production, etc) - BUT, if you don't have these 3, non-technical skills, you'll never be a truly successful film director.
