I travel to the border of Honduras and Nicaragua at the border city, Guasaule. I explore the streets, shops and atmosphere of Guasaule and enter the immigration office to find out what the process is like for a Honduran to enter Nicaragua, and what the process is like for a foreign tourist. I learn that you can enter Nicaragua without a special visa but now it is necessary to fill out an online form 7 days before crossing the border. Hondurans do not have to pay anything to cross the border and foreigners pay 3 dollars.

The Guasaule River divides the two countries, and I learn that the Guasaule Bridge that connects the countries was built by the government of Japan.

In Guasaule there is a hotel for migrants, and I meet Venezuelan and Haitian families who are staying the night.
