I continue exploring San Marcos de Colon, a picturesque city in Honduras that is on the border with Nicaragua. With the help of my three charismatic guides, I explore its streets, restaurants, cafes, and schools. I also visit the projects of Misión Lazaro, a foundation that has a bilingual and technical school for children in the sector. I stay at the Posada Lazaro, the mountain hotel owned by the foundation. The rooms are cabin style and there is a cafe, restaurant, conference area, store, and beautiful views of the mountains between Honduras and Nicaragua.
